Mary Kay Pribyl's college algebra class is solving polynomial equations. They have reviewed synthetic division and solving quadratic equations. We have discussed factors and zeros of functions and how to use the factors and degree of the polynomial to find the multiplicity of each zero. We have discovered what the graphs of polynomial functions look like and what to expect for the end behavior. The class is showing the end behavior of a fifth degree polynomial with a negative leading coefficient.
